Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
The Write That Stays Group cares about the information you leave on this website. This policy explains what we collect through the website, enquiries, member accounts and event registration, and the Jade shop, why we use it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have. The Traditional Chinese version prevails if the two differ.
1. Who is responsible
This website is provided by The Write That Stays Corporation, incorporated in Wyoming, USA, operating as The Write That Stays Group, with its creative and operations team in Taiwan. For any question about your personal data, write to info@thewritethatstaysgroup.com.
2. What we collect and why
- Enquiries: your name, company or organisation, e-mail, enquiry type, subject, message, and the timeline and budget you choose to give — to reply, assess a collaboration and keep in touch about it.
- Member accounts and event registration: name, e-mail, mobile number, optional birthday and city, and the answers, photos, videos and files you submit — to run your account, verify your e-mail, review applications and contact you. See the Member and registration data notice.
- Jade shop orders: order number, items, amount, payment status, and the recipient name, address, phone and e-mail — for payment checks, delivery, returns, customer service, fraud prevention and legal record keeping. Card details are handled by Stripe on its own page; we never receive or store full card numbers.
- Visiting the website: our hosting provider records connection logs (such as IP address, browser type, time and page) to keep the website running, secure and free of errors.
3. Cookies and browser storage
We only use what the website needs to work: a cookie that remembers your language (wts-locale), the sign-in cookie used when members or administrators log in, and browser storage for your dark mode, motion, cart and favourites preferences. These stay on your device and are not used for advertising.
We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics or similar tools, we will update this policy first.
4. Embedded content and links
The Screenroom and work pages embed YouTube videos in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). When you press play, YouTube may process data under Google’s privacy policy. Links to social and music platforms take you to sites with their own privacy policies.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Service providers that help us operate — website and data hosting (Netlify), e-mail delivery, payments (Stripe) and carriers — receive only what they need to provide their service. We may disclose data where the law requires it or to protect rights and safety.
6. Where data is stored
Our cloud services may store or process data outside Taiwan, for example in the United States, depending on each provider’s configuration. We only transfer data across borders as far as needed to provide the service.
7. How long we keep it
We keep data only as long as its purpose requires: enquiries while we handle them and any resulting conversation; member data while your account exists; event data for review and administration; transaction and accounting records for the periods the law requires. Afterwards we delete it or make it non-identifying.
8. Your rights
You may ask to access or see your data, receive a copy, add to or correct it, stop its collection, processing or use, or have it deleted. Write to info@thewritethatstaysgroup.com; we will verify your identity first, and explain if the law requires us to keep something.
You may choose not to provide data, but without required fields we may be unable to reply, create an account, complete a registration or fulfil an order.
9. Minors
Users under 18 should use member, registration and shopping features with the consent and guidance of a parent or guardian.
10. Security
The whole website is served over HTTPS, administration requires authorised sign-in, and access is limited by role. No transmission over the internet is completely secure; if an incident could affect your rights, we will notify you as the law requires.
11. Changes
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The current version is always on this page with its date; significant changes will also be announced on the website.
