Sustainability & ResponsibilityTHE WRITE THAT STAYS GROUP
Our Commitments
Stories that stay.
Care at every step.
The value of a story also lies in how it is made. From creative rights and respect on set to the content children encounter and the resources we use, we aim to put our values into practice with every project.
This page sets out our commitments and proposed actions. We will update each area as work progresses. Planned actions do not represent established policies or completed achievements.
01
Creation & Rights
Planned
Good stories begin with respect for their creators.
Originality, credits and permissions should be clear from the start. We value each creator’s contribution and care about how work will be used and preserved.
Our planned actions+
Clarify rights for each work, soundtrack, image and source material.
Agree on credits, deliverables and terms of use before collaboration begins.
Build traceable records of permissions and versions.

02
People & Production
Planned
Care for the people who make the story possible.
Everyone’s work, on screen and behind the scenes, deserves respect. We aim to consider safety, rest, communication and different working needs early in production planning.
Our planned actions+
Review location risks, equipment operation and on-set contacts before filming.
Plan reasonable rest and the safety preparations each production needs.
Develop principles for preventing harassment and responding to concerns.
03
Children & Culture
Planned
Tell each story with understanding.
Content for children calls for particular care. Stories about communities, cultures and personal experiences also require context. We want imagination to thrive alongside respect for the people represented.
Our planned actions+
Review topics, presentation and possible effects for the intended age group.
Plan consent, privacy and on-set care procedures for young participants.
Check sources for cultural subjects and consult relevant people where needed.
04
Environment & Production
Planned
Use resources thoughtfully, so creativity can last.
We aim to begin with practical choices on each production, reducing unnecessary materials and waste while extending the useful life of props, equipment and creative assets.
Our planned actions+
Consider reuse, rental and proper storage of sets and props first.
Reduce single-use items where feasible and improve on-set sorting.
Gradually establish records of production travel, energy use and consumables.
05
Governance & Dialogue
Planned
Clear responsibilities. A sound basis for collaboration.
As the group develops, we aim to make decisions, partnerships and public information clearer. Our communications should reflect verifiable facts and remain open to correction and improvement.
Our planned actions+
Clarify responsibility for project decisions, delivery and review.
Explain the purpose and necessary scope of partnerships and data use in advance.
Keep update dates and records of significant corrections to public information.
